Brewster Academy has again
partnered with Classbook.com to allow families to purchase books online and
have them shipped directly to Brewster for pickup during registration. Books ordered online before
September 9 will be ready for pickup at registration. This year
all books must be purchased using a credit card.
To order books, students need their course list, which was mailed to all families on August 2. If you do not have your course list, parents and students can login to their respective areas of the Brewster Portal to access course lists.
If you already have your course list, skip down to To Get Started. If you need your course list, follow the instructions below:
Go to: Brewster Portal
Enter Parent ID or Student ID
and Password and
then Login.
Under Parent
Tools, click on Book
Ordering Information.
The Booklist
screen will open, which lists the
books your student needs to order. Please note that some Brewster courses do
not require the purchase of a book, in which case there are no books listed for
that course.
Open a
new window in your browser (this is so you can still view your Booklist) and go
to: http://www.classbook.com/bwstr.asp
Using the
Booklist, you
are now ready to order books.
Enter Student

Brewster e-mail. If you are a returning student and you do not know your
password, you must set up a new account.

Used
Books and Buy-Back Program
In an
effort to provide the most value to the parents as well as to the school,
Classbook.com offers the cost-saving option of purchasing used books and an
on-site buy-back program of books at the conclusion of each school year. It
should be noted, however, that used books may contain highlights and notations
that could be distracting to some students.
Book
Pickup
All books
ordered before September 9, will be available for pickup at registration.
Students who do not order books prior to registration, will have to order
online at registration and may not have their books for the first day of class.
Delivery is usually within 24 to 48 hours of ordering.
When
ordering English books, students have the option of purchasing all books at the
beginning of the year or purchasing the books separately as they are needed for
each trimester.
Shipping
Cost
For
orders placed before September 1, the shipping fee has been reduced to $6 per
order. After September 1, the shipping fee is $12 per order. To avoid more than
one shipping fee, we encourage families to order all books at the same time and
to do it before September 1.
Adding/Dropping
Courses
During
the two-week add/drop period of each trimester, if a student needs to drop a
course, he or she can return that course's book(s) to Brewster's Campus Store
and Brewster will ship the book back to Classbook.com at the end of the
add/drop period. Once the book(s) are received at Classbook.com, the credit
card used for purchasing the book(s) will be credited. For those students who
need to purchase a book(s) for an added course, they
can order directly from Classbook.com and the book(s) will be shipped directly
to Brewster.
