Former Brewster athletes will be well-represented in March Madness with six alumni involved in the NCAA Tournament while five other alumni will play in the the National Invitational Tournament and College Basketball Invitational. NCAA Bracket
Jeff Adrien '05 will lead UConn, who is the #1 seed in the West Region, against Tennessee-Chattanooga on March 19 at 3 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A potential second round opponent is #8 seed BYU, where Charles Abouo '08 now plays. Abouo and BYU play #9 Texas A&M on March 19 at 12:30 p.m. in Philadelphia.
Emmanuel Negedu '08 and Tennessee secured the #9 seed in the East region and will play #8 Oklahoma State on March 20 at 12:25pm in Dayton, Ohio. Xavier, the #4 seed in the East region is the home of Mark Lyons '08, who is redshirting this year.
Dogus Balbay '07, the starting point guard at Texas is the #7 seed in the South region. The Longhorns play on March 19 at 7:10 p.m. in Greensboro, North Carolina vs. #10 Minnesota. Another Brewster alum in the South region is Cedrick Middleton '04, the graduate assistant coach at Akron, the #13 seed who plays on March 19 at 7:25 p.m. against Gonzaga in Portland, Oregon.
National Invitational Tournament
Among the teams who had their NCAA bubble burst on Sunday was Creighton, which despite their 26-7 record was not selected for the NCAA Tournament. Instead, Chad Millard '05 and P'Allen Stinnett '07 will lead Creighton in the National Invitational Tournament as a #1 seed as they host Bowling Green on March 18 at 8 p.m. Weyinmi Efejuku '05 and Providence will host Miami on March 18 at 7 p.m. (to be broadcast on ESPN2). Rounding out the Brewster alumni in the NIT field is Kellen Thornton '08, who will help Illinois State as they prepare to play Kansas State on March 18 at 8 p.m. NIT Schedule
College Basketball Invitational
In the 16-team College Basketball Invitational, Marcus Hammond '04 will lead College of Charleston against Troy on March 18 at 8 p.m. in Troy, Alabama. CBI Bracket.

Dodie Dunson '06 will lead the Bradley University Braves in the Inaugural CollegeInsider.com Tournament. Bradley finished the regular season 18-14 in the Missouri Valley Conference and will host Austin-Peay in the first round.
