2009 Varsity Team

We seek players with a positive attitude, great commitment, and the strong desire to perform to their potential. Our program aims to develop every student, and our squad aims to be successful. Field hockey at Brewster Academy is based on a squad-approach where the junior varsity and varsity teams work in collaboration. Players (selected on merit) have the opportunity to build on experience at the junior varsity level and follow a progressive route to the varsity level. We can achieve this together through hard work and lots of fun! All students with an interest in the sport are welcomed into the program, regardless of athletic experience or background.

The field hockey coaching staff recognizes the importance of character building in the athletic experience. This includes much emphasis on sportsmanship and self-confidence and leadership and teamwork. We provide a positive environment for players and emphasize that each athlete is essential to the team.
