The Dining Program

Brewster's dining program strives to serve a variety of fresh, and when possible, locally grown food to the Brewster community. As an academic institution, we believe that our dining program shares in the educational responsibility of the campus. Providing good quality, healthy food in an attractive setting is a major goal. Literature throughout the dining room promotes and educates students about the types and quantities of food needed for a healthy lifestyle.

Breakfast is designed to meet the needs of the various busy academic schedules students experience at Brewster. We offer an assortment of hot food items for two hours every morning, and each

Our Sunday brunch provides a relaxing, warm atmosphere over an extended time to accommodate a slower pace from the typical class day morning routine. White table clothes are laid out, lanterns are lit, and light jazz plays softly while students choose from a smorgasbord of homemade granola, yogurt and fruit, fresh pastry, cold and hot cereals, omelets cooked to order, and hot sides such as bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, and homemade hash browns.

Lunches are a real event at Brewster. Stations with food cooked to order and a tremendous salad bar featuring our own recipes using fresh, healthy ingredients to create an ever-changing assortment of ready-made salads along with all the ingredients to create individual salads are very popular.  We offer a choice of homemade soups each day, a selection of sandwiches made to order, and a stir-fry station. There's always a vegetarian option at each meal along with our daily menu of fish, chicken, or beef items prepared in a family style atmosphere. Sandwiches, homemade desserts, and of course, our popular pizza on Wednesdays and Fridays, round out the lunch fare.

You'll always hear an assortment of music throughout the lunch period. We think it's important that our dining facility is a place to relax, eat good food, and have some fun in an otherwise full and busy day at Brewster. Our students love the music and often make requests, which we gladly accommodate.

Sunday brunch promises delicious fare served in a relaxed atmosphere with white linens, lanterns, and a hint of jazz.

Our dinner meal is served in a more relaxed atmosphere. For many students, it marks the end of the first part of a very busy day and is an opportunity to relax and socialize some before nighttime commitments begin. A good, home-cooked meal, with a vegetarian option, homemade desserts, and our Home Cooking Station brings a variety to our menu along with full salad and deli bars.

Brewster's dining program is committed to great service and quality food in a relaxing environment. Our staff is committed to providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. It's not uncommon for our staff to know many of our students personally and to ask questions about their day, their families, and their activities. Overall we nurture as well as nourish our students. That's our goal.
