Boys' JV A Basketball vs. Holderness School

BA lost wednesday to Holderness 53-28. High scorer for Brewster was Tim Wadlinger with 13 points. Good defensive play from Bobby McSweeney and Anthony Lin. Great hustle play from Kenneth Chang. Brewster gets ready for Berwick on the road on Friday.

Boys' JV A Basketball at Berwick Academy

BA traveled to Berwick Academy Friday and lost 36-46 .Brewster led at halftime by one but lost it in the final minutes by ten. Great offensive play by Wen So Yong and Bobby McSweeney and had great defensive play by Preye Okara and Kennith Chang.

Boys' JV A Basketball vs. Kimball Union Academy

The boys JV A team lost to KUA by a score of 54-24.Brewster came out strong in the first half going into the locker room down by seven. Good offensive play by Wen So Yang and great defensive play by Po Wei Lin.

Boys' JV A Basketball at Proctor Academy

On Saturday the boys JV A  team traveled to Proctor and came home with a buzzer beating win thanks to Timmy Wadlinger's desperation three pointer. Bobby McSweeney lead the team with nine points followed by Wen-so Yang with seven. Great defensive play by Tyler Leighton and Anthony Lin.

Boys' JV A Basketball vs. Phillips Exeter Academy

Brewster's head coach took his worst loss in seven years against Phillips Exeter on Wednesday. Leading scorer was Kenneth Chang with four points followed by Avery Galloway with three points and Timmy Wadlinger followed with two points. BA has a week to recover before they go on the road.

Boys' JV A Basketball at Holderness School

BA traveled to Holderness Wednesday and lost by 13. Brewster looked flat in the first half and found themselves down by as much as 24. In the second half they played better and had chances to win the game. Wen So Yang was the leading scorer with 13 points and played all around good basketball. Po Wei Lin added six, and had a good game as well.

Boys' JV A Basketball vs. Sant Bani

On Saturday Brewster was at home against St. Bani and pulled out a win -  43-38.Top scorer for the game was Avery Galloway with nine points and Po Wei Lin and Kenneth Chang followed with eight a piece. Good defensive play by Tyler Leighton and some fancy assists by Wen so Yeng.

Boys' JV A Basketball vs. Cardigan Mountain School

BA got off to a slow start Wednesday with a 7-9 point lead at the half. A different team came out in the second half and BA outscored Cardigan by 33 in the second half. It all started with the defense. BA's press was impressive and Cardigan had no answer for it. Great defense played by Preye Okara, Jeremy Hess, Timmy Wadlinger and others. BA was lead by Wen So Yang with 20 points, Po Wei Lin and Kenith Chang added 10 points each. "A good team win today."

Boys' JV A Basketball vs. Vermont Academy

On Saturday Brewster won its fourth game of the season beating Vermont 56-40. Lead scorer for the game was Po-Wei Lin with 10 points followed by little brother Anthony Lin with eight points. Great overall play by Jeremy Hess, Timmy Wadlinger and Austin Lin.

Boys' JV A Basketball vs. New Hampton School

Brewsters JV A team is starting to go on a roll and doing it with great defense. BA is on a four game winning streak and will try to extend it after the break. Brewster was able to come back from some questionable calls and being down by four at the half. Brewster was lead by Kenith Chang with 14 of his 16 points in the second half. Also 15 points from John Wadlinger in his first start in over a year, he hit some big free throws down the stretch. Wen So Yang dropped in 10 points and got it all started with a big steal in the second half. Great defense from Bobby McSweeney, Po Wei Lin and Timmy Wadlinger.

Boys' JV A Basketball vs. Proctor Academy

BA lost a tough game Wednesday.  After having had a couple of days off, they looked a little rusty. Proctor had only a two point lead at the half and it looked like Brewster was going to steal another game from Proctor. In the end Brewster turned the ball over too many times. Brewster was again lead by point guard Wen So Yang with nine points and followed by Austim Lee with eight points. Great D from Timmy Wadlinger, Po Wei Lin and Anthony Lin.

Boys' JV A Basketball at Cardigan Mountain School
2/13/2010 3:00 PM W 55 - 22
Brewster's JV A team traveled to Cardigan Mountain Saturday and came away with a 55-22 win. Brewster played great together, as a team. Each player scored and played great defense. BA was lead by Austim Lee and Timmy Wadlinger with 13 points each. A strong game was played by Tyler Leighton with seven points and Wen So Yang with great passing to open players. Also Max Smith, in his first game with the team, added a basket and fit in seamlessly with the rest of the team.

Boys' JV A Basketball at New Hampton School
2/20/2010 2:00 PM W 60 - 59
Captain Po Wei Lin played the role and led the team to a victory with a lay up at the buzzer to push BA ahead 60-59. Po led scoring with 17 followed by Kenith Chang  and Johnny Wadlinger each with 11. Wen So Yang had some great assists and smart play toward the end of the game. Brewster will practice and get ready for the tournament next weekend at New Hampton.
