Friday, February 29, 2008 - Brewster alumni, faculty, parents and friends gathered in NYC on Friday, February 29 for the 6th Annual Brewster Penn Club Reception. Dan and Kathy Mudge (Tapley-Ann '98, Ashley '02) have generously hosted this evening since its inaugural year in 2000. This premiere event provides a wonderful opportunity for alumni, parents, and friends to connect, network, and learn what is happening at Brewster today.

Head of School Mike Cooper spoke about some exciting campus initiatives including the recent alumni survey in which some of you may have participated. In the survey, alumni indicated a high level of satisfaction with their Brewster experience and they reported a “very good” overall perception of Brewster today. Additionally, alumni reported in the survey what type of campus communications they prefer, what topics they are most interested in, and how frequently they would like to hear from their alma mater. The survey also told us that alumni are increasingly recommending Brewster to friends and family.

Cooper also shared positive news from the Admissions front with increased applications and acceptances, and he spoke of the continued progress and development of Brewster's master plan with the nine new tennis courts (to be completed this spring) and the proposed fine arts building on the horizon.
