Winter Athletics - GO BA!! Boys' varsity baseketball and girls' varsity hockey teams have both earned New England Tounament Berths. Also, earlier this winter the girls' varsity soccer team was honored by the Brewster trustees at a luncheon at the Pinckney Boathouse. The girls completed an undefeated regular fall 2007! Fine and Performing Arts Performing arts students presented West Side Story last week. (photo left) The cast was supported by a 15-piece orchestra, which comprised professionals from Northern New England and was directed by Brewster's Andy Campbell. Andy Campbell is one busy guy -- he also directs Brewster's HOWL chorus, which is getting ready to perform the Lord Nelson Mass by Franz Joseph Haydn at Carnegie Hall in New York City with the New England Symphonic Ensemble and other choirs on Monday, April 7. HOWL was invited to join with four other choruses selected from throughout North America for their outstanding ability. The concert begins at 8 p.m. and discounted tickets may be ordered until March 12 through MidAmerica Productions by using this order form (PDF). Tickets purchased after March 12 must be purchased directly through CarnegieCharge at 212-247-7800 or www.carnegiehall.org. We hope some of you can make it to this once in a lifetime event for our students. Annual Fund Update from Martha Trepanier '83 So you're thinking..."My Brewster years were great." And they were! Today Brewster provides our young people many of the same, and some with even more opportunities: a debate team, astronomy and freshwater ecology classes with podcasts, and the HOWL chorus that will be performing at Carnegie Hall this spring. With over 20 different clubs, from the Brewster Big Friends Club and the Interact Club to the newly-created cultural awareness club Mundiamo; J-board, Proctors and Prefect leadership opportunities; there is a wide variety of activities for our students to get involved in. What can you do? More than you think! Support Brewster. Make an impact on today's students, faculty and our beautiful campus. Think of who inspired, encourage, and challenged you and make a gift in recognition of that person ... you decide - we'll listen.
