Teams Advance to Semi-Finals

November 2005 -- Three Brewster teams earned bids to New England Tournaments: The girls' varsity soccer and field hockey teams and the boys' varsity soccer teams. All three teams played quarterfinal games on Wednesday, and the field hockey and boys' soccer teams advanced to the semi-finals.

In field hockey, second-seed Brewster edged out seventh-seed Gunnery School with a 1-0 win. The Bobcats play Pingree School in the semi-finals on Saturday. The game will be played at the Dexter-Southfield School in Brookline, Massachusetts. Game time is 1 p.m. If the girls' advance to the finals, that game will be played on Sunday at 12 p.m. also at the Dexter-Southfield School. The girls are defending their New England Class C Championship from last season.

The sixth-seeded boys' varsity soccer team defeated third-seed St. Paul’s School 2-1 to advance to the semi-finals. They take on Suffield Academy under the lights at 3 p.m. on Saturday. This game will be played at the Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The girls' soccer team, seeded #6 in the New England Class C division, lost to third seed Rivers School 0-4 in the quarterfinals.
