Cross Country Running 2008

The Team

The Brewster Academy Cross-Country Running program welcomes runners of all experience and abilities. Our co-ed team enjoys running on local x-c ski and snow machine trails, back-woods roads, and lakeside bike paths converted from the old railroad lines in town. Our program is tailored to challenge students from experienced racers to beginning runners. We count on the positive attitude of each team member to support and encourage each other in our workouts and races. Building a sense of TEAM is a focus throughout the season. The Brewster Bobcats are part of the Lakes Region League comprised of: Brewster, Cardigan Mountain School, Dublin School, Holderness School, Kimball Union Academy, New Hampton, Proctor Academy, Putney School, Tilton School, and Vermont Academy. There are bi-weekly Lakes Region meets with quad or tri meets in between. These smaller meets allow athletes to practice their race strategies and give them an opportunity to become familiar with other schools in preparation for the Lakes Region meets. This year’s team is pleased to have Krizstina Dearborn ‘10 serving as Girls’ Captain. In 2007, Dearborn placed 14th overall for Division 3 girls cross-country runners in New England Private Schools Association Conference (NEPSAC). She was also the team’s MVP in 2007. Jason Teitleman ’10 is the Boys’ Captain. JT earned MIP for the 2007 season.
