3 season BA V FH captain and 4 season MVP winner Janna Anctil heads to Boston College this coming season to begin her field hockey collegiate career. For four consecutive years Janna has competed in the National Futures Championship Field Hockey tournament in Virginia Beach, VA. Anctil's career has included selection to the US Field Hockey Elite Team, the Junior National Camp, and the AAU Junior Olympics in which she helped her team earn the bronze medal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alumni Jennifer Clements (2007) shares her thoughts:

How would you describe your field hockey experience at BA?

My field hockey experience at BA was unbelievable. It was the perfect example of if you work hard it will pay off. Not only did we have a great record but our team was so close, which made everything ten times better.

What advice would you give to current and prospective players of BA?

The advice I would give current and prospective players is to work as hard as you possibly can, you don’t want to look back and think, "I could have played so much harder in that game or I could have sprinted just a little faster." Leave everything out on the field and look to your teammates for support on and off the field.

What were the highs of the your FH career at BA?

The high of my FH career at BA was, of course, winning the New England Championship in 2004 and then winning the Lakes Region Championship in 2006. But also being awarded the Coaches award for the 2006 season. It made me feel so good to know that my coaches chose me to receive that award. My hard work never went unnoticed and that award just gave me that extra boost of confidence.
