Boys' Lacrosse Florida Trip 2008

The Bobcat team recently returned from its annual March trip to Florida. Brewster is in its seventh year attending the World Class Lacrosse camp in Kissimmee, Florida. "It was another great trip," said Coach Lee. "We got a lot of work in for lacrosse -- putting in offenses and defenses -- scrimmaged some great teams (Waterford of Utah, Choate and Hotchkiss of Connecticut), and had some fun in the sun as well." With temperatures averaging 78 all week, the Bobcats not only played a lot of lax, but they took the day off on Tuesday and went to Wet 'n' Wild to enjoy the waterslides and the sun. Later that evening, the boys took advantage of the all-you-can-eat buffet at the Golden Corral. The players enjoyed the trip once again. "I had a blast," said Kevin Whelan, senior captain for Brewster's 2008 squad, who has attended the Florida camp for the last four years. "I feel as though we bonded really well as a team this week. Also, it's always nice, especially being from NH, to play in some sunny weather." The Bobcats plan on returning in 2009.
