2006 Lakes Region Champions

The Brewster girls’ varsity lacrosse team captured their first Lakes Region Championship in May. The team finished the season 8-1 in the league (8-3 overall).

“The Brewster girls’ lacrosse program is proud and honored to have won the title this season,” commented Head Coach Sara Parker.

The Bobcat squad was led by tri-captains Rachel Berman (Highlands Ranch, Colorado), Janna Anctil (Wolfeboro), and Kim Cooper (Wolfeboro). The team had two notable victories, one to Kimball Union Academy (10-8) and the other to Holderness School (15-6) during the season. The only league loss came to New Hampton School early in the season, but the girls were able to come back and beat them at the end of the season to win the Lakes Region title.

The Brewster team faced each game with a positive attitude and a strong desire to win. The girls played together as a team every game and worked hard to accomplish their goal of Lakes Region Champions. The offensive team was led by juniors Anctil, Cooper, and Jillian Campbell (Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia). The defensive team was led by seniors Berman, Carole LeBlanc (Grande-Digue, New Brunswick), and four-year varsity player Tori Neal (Wolfeboro). Neal, Berman, and LeBlanc played significant roles on the team this year and will be missed next year.
