  • Giving in-class presentations
  • Creating exciting and personalized multimedia lessons
  • Preparing curriculum materials individualized by subject and student
  • Developing quality performance appraisals
  • Participating in classroom support and coaching
  • Providing focused feedback to students, peers, and supervisors

Designed specifically for Brewster, these tools allow teachers to bring together in one format all that is known about the best ways to teach and learn. By using this software, our teachers are able to apply their expert skills and experiences to best benefit their students.

In addition to this technology, Brewster teachers also participate in a rigorous professional development experience known as the Brewster Summer Institute (BSI), an intensive six-week training program that builds on their existing skills. When the school year resumes, the teachers participate in a support and evaluation process that is tracked through our powerful School Tools Software, which includes information on more than 400 classroom observations and 3,500 student evaluations of classroom teachers conducted at Brewster each year. We use this data to enhance the professional development of our teachers, as well as the overall classroom learning experience.
