TEACHING POSITIONS

The Academy is an international leader in school reform and educational technology. Candidates must be interested in working in an exciting, highly professional collaborative teaching environment, implementing research based teaching practices using a defined curriculum model differentiated to meet a range of student abilities. Candidates who are offered a teaching position must be available to attend Brewster Summer Institute for four weeks during the summer.    EOE

ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

  • DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI & DEVELOPMENT
    Brewster Academy seeks an experienced Director of Alumni and Development to design and direct the School’s fund raising, alumni and parent relations programs. Responsibilities include strategic planning for the development program; management of a development programs and staff of six; oversight and implementation of annual/capital fund raising programs; assistance with Trustee relations/issues; and serving as a senior member of the school’s administrative staff.

    The ideal candidate should have demonstrated knowledge of and proven leadership in critical components of a mature fund raising program; excel at developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with all constituents of the School, must be creative, entrepreneurial, organized, an advocate for private secondary education, knowledgeable about and successful in raising philanthropic support and its role in education, and willing to work in a close-knit boarding school environment.

    Qualifications include bachelor’s degree, 5-10 years demonstrated leadership skills/ experience in fund raising and in staff and volunteer management. Candidates must have excellent communications skills including writing and presentation skills, previous successful experience in personal solicitation, ability to successfully manage and execute a capital campaign, and complete multiple tasks in a time-sensitive fashion. Competitive salary commensurate w/experience.
