Visit Wolfeboro

When planning a visit to Brewster, your lodging options include B&B inns, hotels, cottages, and motels in Wolfeboro and nearby Alton. If you are seeking a chain hotel option, the small cities of Rochester and Dover are only 35 to 45 minutes from campus. Don’t forget the other resort towns around Lake Winnipesaukee: Gilford, Meredith, Laconia, Lakeport, Center Harbor, Moultonborough, Melvin Village, and Tuftonboro. They are between 20 and 50 minutes away from Brewster, and the drive around the lake is quite pretty, especially in the fall. Please make bookings as far in advance as possible, as Wolfeboro and the Lakes Region are busy in all seasons.

RESTAURANTS
Wolfeboro is known for its eateries, and when not enjoying meals in the dining hall or Palmer Cafe on campus, Brewster students partake in all that the town offers. SHOPPING and SERVICES
Brewster’s Campus Store is a great place to start for clothing, school supplies, and snacks. When students need more, there are many options just down the hill in downtown Wolfeboro. From northern or southern New Hampshire, take Interstate 93 to Exit 15E in Concord, N.H. (I-393). Follow I-393 East to the Epsom traffic circle. From the Epsom circle follow signs for Route 28 North to the Alton traffic circle. Again follow signs for Route 28 North. Shortly after entering Wolfeboro, stay on Route 28 North by turning left at the blinking yellow light (Weston Auto Body). Soon you will see Brewster Academy. Turn left into the main entrance and park in the visitors' parking area to the left. The Office of Admission is in the main Academic Building (with the pillars). Enter through the front doors and follow the hallway straight ahead to reach Admissions.

From Boston, take Route 95 North to Portsmouth, N.H. Take Exit 4, the Spaulding Turnpike/"White Mountains" (left side exit). Follow the turnpike to Exit 15 (Route 11 West), continue to the Alton traffic circle and take Route 28 North. Shortly after entering Wolfeboro, stay on Route 28 North by turning left at the blinking yellow light (Weston Auto Body). Soon you will see Brewster Academy. There are four airports available within two hours of our campus:

Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS): Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Logan is about a two-hour drive to Wolfeboro. All major airlines fly into Logan. Airport services include car rentals and other transportation services.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT): Located in Manchester, New Hampshire, this airport is one hour and 30 minutes by car from Wolfeboro. Although smaller than Boston, Manchester is serviced by several airlines. Car rentals and transportation services are available.

Portland International Jetport (PWM): Located in Portland, Maine, this airport is located about 1 hour and 45 minutes by car from Wolfeboro. Again, although smaller than Boston, Portland’s Jetport is serviced by several airlines. Car rentals and transportation services are available.

Laconia Municipal Airport (LCI): This is a one-runway private service airport about 40 minutes from Wolfeboro. 
 

Train Travel
South Station in Boston, Massachusetts, is a two-hour drive to Wolfeboro. The bus terminal and train station are connected. Current students who need transportation to school after breaks will be picked up at South Station Gate A1 (C&J Trailways). Massachusetts public transit (MBTA) is also available at South Station.

Bus Travel
Chartered bus services are provided by the school at scheduled breaks to transport students to and from Boston and Manchester. Additionally, for students who arrive earlier or later than chartered buses, C&J Trailways runs between Dover, New Hampshire (45 minutes from campus), and Boston's Logan Airport. Students can call Brewster at 603.569.1600 for travel arrangements from Dover to Wolfeboro.
