Student Contact Information

We know that contacting a child for any situation is a very important need for Brewster parents. We realize that it can be difficult to get in touch with students during busy days and nights of classes and activities. Knowing this, we encourage parents to use any of the following methods to contact their children.

E-Mail
This is a valuable communication resource for parents, faculty, and students. Parents can e-mail their child at Brewster with this simple address format: firstname_lastname@brewsteracademy.org (steven_jones@brewsteracademy.org)

Please make sure to get the correct e-mail name from your child (i.e., Steve or Steven, etc.).

During the academic year, a bi-weekly e-mail with campus news, updates, and activities is sent to all parents and guardians. Additionally, the academic office notifies parents and guardians via e-mail when grade reports and recognition scores have been posted at www.brewsteracademy.
org. It is important to inform the academic office if your e-mail address changes.

Telephone
Student phones are active from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.. They are shut off during evening study hall from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The phones are then turned on again from 10 p.m. to 10:25 p.m. for underclassmen, and from 10 p.m. to 10:55 p.m. for seniors and PG's. The phones come on at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and stay on until 8 p.m. on Sunday. On Sunday evening they resume the 10 p.m. to 10:25/10:55 p.m. schedule.

The highest volume of calls comes in for students between the 10 - 10:30/10 p.m. window and therefore it may be challenging to reach your student during this time. As a way to alleviate possible frustrations, we encourage you to call your student during other, off-peak times.

If you call your student's extension during the times when the phones are not activated, you will reach their voice mail and you may leave a message. Students may retrieve their messages during the times the phones are activated.

Please Note: Only in the case of an emergency, a parent may call 603-569-1600 and choose the emergency phone extension. If your emergency call is not immediately answered we ask that you leave a detailed message, including a return phone number. We stress that this method of reaching your student is to be used in extreme situations only. We trust that our families will utilize this option responsibly.

The number 603-569-1600 is also our main switchboard, and may be called to ask for more information or routing to a department.

Mail
Send all mail (including packages) to your child's name, Brewster Academy, 80 Academy Drive, Wolfeboro NH, 03894-4115. Mail is delivered to the Campus Store where it is distributed. Packages can be collected during Campus Store hours, which are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mailboxes are accessible during free time.

Parents also may fax students. Faxes are collected Monday through Saturday and are posted on the student message board outside the Dean of Student's Office. Students are notified by e-mail when a fax has been received. The fax number is 603-569-7199. Students also may send faxes.
