Finals: Brewster 67, Bridgton 80

Congratulations to the team on a great battle tonight in the finals of the tournament. And thanks to all of the loyal fans - students, faculty, parents and staff - for making the trek to Worcester Academy in support. It was a terrific season!

Semifinals: Brewster 85 over South Kent School 83

Tonight, the Brewster boys basketball team defeated South Kent School by a score of 85-83 to advance to the finals of the New England Preparatory School tournament. The championship game will be played this Sunday, March 4th, at Worcester Academy in Worcester, MA. They will play the number one seed, Bridgton Academy.

Quarterfinals: Brewster 96-92 Over St. Thomas More

Brewster survived a furious and dramatic comeback by St. Thomas More to win an exciting 96-92 NEPSAC Class A Quarterfinal contest in overtime. Brewster, the #2 seed, led by 13 points with 2 minutes remaining, but was unable to stop an impressive 3-point barrage by St. Thomas More, nor hit crucial free-throws. The game was knotted at 46 at halftime and at 89 at the end of regulation time. Brewster was led by junior captain Emmanuel Negedu (Kaduna, Nigeria) with 30 points and 17 rebounds, while unsigned guard Tristan Thompson (Angleton, Texas) added 19 points. Idaho-bound Andre McFarland (Las Vegas) contributed 14 points, while Vanderbilt-signee Andre Walker (Flossmoor, Illinois) netted 13.

Brewster improves to 28-5 on the year and now advances to the semifinals to play #3 seed South Kent School on Friday evening at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. Game time is 6 p.m..

Girls' Varsity Basketball

The Lady Bobcats, seeded eighth, had a tough loss (21-49) to #1 seed Kimball Union Academy in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at Kimball Union Academy.

The top eight Class C tournament teams by seed are:
