Alumni Athlete of the Month-April
St. Michael’s College Lacrosse
For the third straight month, we recognize a day student lacrosse player as our Alum of the Month! Brookfield, N.H. native Steph Brunelle is in her senior year at St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, where she has been a mainstay in their lacrosse program. Brunelle, a four-year member of Bobcat Nation, was a versatile three-sport athlete during her Brewster days and earned an astonishing 12 varsity letters! In the fall, it was field hockey where Brunelle served as captain in her senior year. During the winter months, she was known as a steady guard for the Bobcats where she was used as a defensive stopper. And, in the spring, it was on the lacrosse field where she excelled, serving as captain and being named a Lakes Region League All-Star in her senior year—and helping Brewster to the Lakes Region League Tournament title!
Brunelle, who was a consistent John Brewster Scholar, has continued with her academic success as she has been named on the NE-10 Conference’s Academic Honor Roll in every year since arriving at St. Michael’s. She is a Elementary Education major and in the fall will teach at the Community Day Charter Elementary School in Lawrence, Mass.
“I am incredibly excited for Steph and all that she has accomplished at St. Michael’s,” noted Head Girls’ Lacrosse coach, Melissa Lawlor. “She was a skilled player for us and had a huge impact all four years, but was even more valuable as a person. I can see her being just an awesome teacher as she heads into the field of education.”
Keep up the great work, Steph, and congratulations on being our Alum of the Month for April!
