Ice Hockey - Girls' Varsity
Overview
The Brewster Academy girls' ice hockey program has experienced considerable success since its inception as a varsity sport during the 1998-1999 school year. The team competes at the NEPSAC division II level in the most competitive high school hockey league in North America. The hockey season runs from early November until early March. The team is on the ice six days a week and plays a competitive 28 game schedule. In addition to a rigorous regular season schedule, the Lady Bobcats play in the Southfield Holiday Tournament at the Dexter Southfield School. This tournament provides great exposure and an opportunity to compete against some of the top high school hockey teams in New England.
Every year we graduate players who move on to experience success at the collegiate level. Many graduates have earned All-American honors, have captained their college teams, and have gone on to play at the national level. Former Lady Bobcats have played for Brown University, Hamilton College, Lake Forest College, Norwich University, New England College, Saint Anselm College, Syracuse University, University of Connecticut, Wesleyan University, and Yale University among many other programs.
Home games and practices are held at the Pop Whalen Ice Arena in Wolfeboro. In addition to on-ice practices, we have a season-long strength and conditioning program in which players utilize the state of the art Smith Center for Athletics and Wellness.
