Honoring Lynne Palmer

FOR MORE THAN THREE DECADES Lynne Palmer has served the students and mission of Brewster Academy with her whole heart. Now, as she looks ahead to retirement and her incredible tenure comes to a close, the alumni, parents, and friends whose lives she has impacted are invited to join us in a special honor for her.

LYNNE PALMER’S LEGACY
Lynne has held a variety of roles at Brewster, starting in 1987 as a Development Assistant and climbing quickly through the ranks to Associate Director of Development and then Director of Parent Programs. In 1997 she became Director of Admission and ably led the office for more than 15 years, interacting with thousands of students and their families. Since 2017, Lynne has served as the Director of External Affairs, leading Brewster through a thorough rebranding process that positioned the school to elevate its reach. Her touch is evident in every aspect of the Brewster experience. Lynne has also served as a dorm parent, led clubs and activities, and is a constant and beloved presence on campus at events and functions for students, parents, and alumni alike.

THE PROJECT
Lynne’s ability to bring people together is legendary, fueled by her warmth, positivity, and genuine interest in others. The Palmer Cafe, situated at the heart of the newly renovated Rogers Center, will be a fitting tribute to this spirit: a central hub for community unlike any Brewster has ever had, and a go-to space to gather, recharge, and connect. It is a visionary project that will forever carry the name of a visionary leader.
