The Reimagine Rogers project is Brewster’s most audacious capital project in its history. The project—so visionary in its inception—satisfies many current and important needs of the campus community, while also creating a beacon for future Brewster families. The Reimagine Rogers project (and its two completed phases) is already a differentiator for Brewster and its students.

The renovation and restoration of this historical building was divided into three sequential phases of construction so that students could begin utilizing this game changing space as soon as possible. With Phases 1 and 2 now completed and fully incorporated into campus life, the proof of how essential this project and its associated resources are to the community are on full display.

Phase 3 – fully funded, under construction, and scheduled to be completed by Fall of 2023– will house the Tyler Balint Robotics Lab and our new ceramics studio, both of which will be topped by an spacious terrace just off the main floor overlooking Brown Field and the iconic Brewster backdrop of lake and mountains in the distance.

With a significant investment in the Rogers Building, we are focused on delivering the best education for the future. The reimagined Rogers building, housing the Grayson Student Center, is a hub for innovation and exploration, and a warm and inviting place for the community to come together.

REIMAGINATION TO REALITY: A PROJECT IN 3 PHASES

To ensure that students are able to take advantage of these spaces as soon as possible, the construction of this comprehensive project is separated into three phases:

PHASE 1: A Center for Community

Status
: Fully funded, completed, and now open to the Brewster community.

The project’s largest phase includes the main floor, featuring the spacious, bright, and comfortable student commons and Palmer Cafe, modern classrooms, a soundproof music practice room, and collaboration spaces. The second floor includes the stunning dance studio and the multi-use black box theater. Two stories of floor-to-ceiling windows offer sweeping views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap Mountains, an awe-inspiring backdrop for the wide range of activities offered within.

PHASE 2: A New Home for the Arts

Status: Fully funded, completed and open to the Brewster community as of summer 2022.

This lower level provides expansive opportunities for exploring the arts and includes two multimedia rooms, one with an attached enterprise-class dark room, eight soundproof music practice rooms/recording studios, and a large open art studio / classroom specially designated for painting. A student commons area—oriented at the heart of this level—provides yet another space for connecting with peers and displaying student artwork.

PHASE 3: A Lab for Hands-on Makers

Status: Fully funded and currently under construction.

This addition to the existing footprint of the Rogers building will provide unmatched experiential opportunities both indoors and out. The planned structure on the lake-facing side will house a state of-the-art Robotics/Makerspace Lab and a vibrant pottery studio with kiln—fulfilling the intention of inspiring students to build and create in tangible ways. The topside of this extension will serve as an open-air terrace that is contiguous with the Main Student Commons. It will no doubt become a center of community life: a relaxing space to gather as a group with food from the Cafe, a comfortable spot to cheer Brewster teams competing on Brown Field, or a place to contemplate the most amazing sunsets over the lake.
