Q. How has being part of multiple arts programs/ theater productions/HOWL impacted your experience at Brewster?

A. Being part of multiple art programs, theatre productions, and HOWL has positively impacted my experience at Brewster tremendously! When I am asked, "What do you like to do?" my answer is always that I like to create music and art with like-minded individuals, and here at Brewster, there is ample opportunity for me to do so.

Q. What was your transition to Brewster like and what is it like to go to school so far away from home?

A. My transition to Brewster from back home in Montana was definitely an experience that I had not lived through before coming here, which made it amazing but difficult at the same time. I love being here and experiencing all the opportunities here that I wouldn't be able to experience in Montana. Brewster is truly my second home, so being away from home for me has never been a problem. Due to COVID-19, I have been here in Wolfeboro since July, which is a long time to be away from home, but I am grateful to be able to be in such a great place.

Q. Can you tell us about why you decided to do Field Term? It sounds like an amazing experience!

A. I decided to do Field Term because it sounded like an amazing opportunity to challenge myself academically and learn in ways that I haven't before. I also wanted to get to know other people in the Brewster community that I didn't know very well. It was a challenging experience in a lot of ways, but I definitely grew a lot because of it.

Q. What is your favorite spot on campus to hang out with friends?

A. My favorite spot to hang out with friends on campus by far is Anderson Hall. I love singing and dancing with friends on the stage, as well as just catching up in what I know is a safe space to be on campus. I am looking forward to the new Rodgers building because I know that it will be another awesome place on campus for my friends and I to hang out.

Q. What is your favorite tradition at Brewster?

A. My favorite tradition at Brewster is sealing the show before performing our musical. We all stand in a circle, cross arms and hold hands. One person starts by squeezing another hand and the squeeze gets sent around the circle. After it has made it around the whole circle, the show is sealed and all of our energy now goes towards the show from that point on.
