ArtCat: Ian Smith ’25

Ian Smith ’25 joined Darkroom Photography in the Winter Trimester with a real passion to learn the craft and produce his best work. From learning how to shoot with film, process film, and enlarge prints, he set out to hand in work to the very best of his abilities. Ian is deeply engaged, learning how to be independent in the darkroom, editing those shots, and taking the time necessary to produce the best prints—always looking to improve his photos and always open to suggestions. For his exceptional work in darkroom this winter, the ArtCat goes to Ian Smith ’25!
