ArtCat: John Northrop '24

The Arts faculty has selected John Northrop ’24 as an ArtCat for the last week in March 2023 because of his diligence, dedication, and creative risk taking. They note that Jack worked tirelessly on his monologue in acting class, and his depiction of character, willingness to take direction, and preparation made his performance stand out. He was one of the first performers to memorize his lines and worked hard to embody his character. He has continued to distinguish himself as one of the leaders in the department’s ongoing Gatsby project. Jack was willing and able to take on several complex parts in the winter musical, “The Lightning Thief.” He took risks and demonstrated courage while being a help to others. “We are extremely proud,” they said, “to name John Northrop as the ArtCat this week!”
