Jacob Kunkel ’24
This spring Jacob Kunkel ’24 advocated for taking Digital Photo at an advanced level—he has already studied the medium, but has a passion for the craft. He then challenged himself to capture and edit photos to the best of his abilities, exploring ways to digitally edit his shots to gain the most from his photos. Jacob not only captured images that showed an understanding of the techniques of photography, but through editing, he took the assignments to the next level. For his hard work in photography this Spring, ArtCat honors go to Jacob Kunkel! Bravo!
Hiro Onoguchi ’26
Known for his subtle sense of humor, Hiro Onoguchi ’26 is a dedicated art student also known for his meticulous attention to detail, which is evident in his stunning paintings. Particularly impressive is his interpretation of a crow, as well as his black and white artworks portraying the birth of man, where a skeletal hand reaches out to a human hand. These pieces showcase Hiro's unique vision and exceptional talent. Hiro Onoguchi of Tokyo, Japan is one of this week’s ArtCats! Congratulations!
Mila Bahr ’27
This ArtCat’s creativity shone through as she diligently worked on a mixed-media book project during the Winter Trimester. Hailing from nearby Ossipee, New Hampshire, Mila Bahr’s enthusiasm for this project was evident every day. She infused each page with a different line from a song and created an interactive experience for the viewer with levers to lift to flaps that revealed surprises—her book demanded extended creativity and craftsmanship for each page, showcasing her dedication and passion for her art. Congratulations to Mila Bahr!
