With the fall season coming to a close, several Brewster fall athletes were named to Lakes Region League All-Star teams in their respective sports. Varsity Field Hockey senior captains, Kayla Proia (Maynard, Mass.) and Delia Mahoney (Newton, Mass.) both were all-star honors for their seasons. Proia was a standout in the Bobcat midfield while Mahoney played in the backline for Coach Teraysa Noyes.

The soccer teams also earned All-Star recognition. For the girls, who won the Lakes Region League for their 8th time in ten years, four were named to the team. Freshman striker, Abby Jarvi (Gilford, N.H.), was the lone 9th grader on the team while senior goalkeeper and tri-captain, Leanne Durham (Tewksbury, Mass.), was named to the team for the second straight year. Earlier in the week, Durham signed her letter of intent to play at Sacred Heart University. Brewster had two of their senior midfielders named to the team as well. Emmy Dumaresq (Manchester, N.H.) and Jordan Thompson (Clemson, S.C.) were two of the three midfielders named to the All-Star team. Dumaresq will move on to play at Stonehill College while Thompson will play at the College of Charleston in South Carolina.

On the boys side junior defender and captain Michael Provenzano (Stratham, N.H.) and senior striker Owen Jacinto (Lawrence, Mass.) stepped into the All-Star ring. Provenzano earned All-Star honors last year, but this marked the first time Jacinto was named to the team.

“It’s always to see our students get recognized,” noted Director of Athletics Matt Lawlor. “And no surprise to see this group get the accolades—these eight kids all had outstanding seasons for us this fall!”
