Rower Evelyn Heppler ’27 is a natural leader. Her coaches have described her as super coachable, mature, and extremely competitive. Yet she still brings a spirited, fun, and helpful presence to the Boathouse each afternoon. Evelyn has improved immensely since the start of the season, earning a spot in the Girls’ Varsity boat. This past weekend at the iconic Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs, NY—withstanding bitter cold and rainy conditions—she excelled. This varsity crew member competed in three events on that blustery Sunday, including the Girls’ U17 Eight, the Girls’ Varsity Four, and the Girls’ U17 Four, where she led Brewster Crew to a bronze medal performance and defeated 20 other elite club and high school boats.
