Iain de Sanctis ’24 - Boys' JV Soccer

As a senior captain of the Boys’ JV Soccer team, Iain de Sanctis ’24 takes his leadership role seriously as a committed member of the team. He is always first to practice. He plays his hardest every game. He is consistent with solid play in every game. And, according to his coaches, “Iain gives the best motivational speeches before every game…switching his voice and turning into a gladiator character!” On Wednesday against Kimball Union, the game was tied 1-1 in the second half, and the coaches switched Iain’s position from center back to center midfielder in order to get our Bobcat more involved in the attack. He abruptly made a nice through pass leading to the game-winning goal. On Saturday versus Tilton, he again played mostly in the midfield. He demonstrated versatility holding the defense together, winning every header that came his way, along with facilitating on offense. His quality play produced another big Brewster victory, 6-1.  Congratulations to Bobcat of the Week Iain de Sanctis ’24!
