Summer Workshops
This summer, Brewster Academy will host a series of hands-on workshops open to the public. Dr. Alexis Franzese, professor at Elon University specializing in positive psychology research, will be the guest speaker in the four-part series that will take a deep dive into how to live happier, and more authentic lives. Each workshop can stand on its own, but participants are welcome to attend as many workshops as they'd like. We look forward to seeing you there!

Bringing Authenticity to Leadership
June 14, 2024
9 a.m.- 2 p.m.
This workshop is designed for individuals who serve in leadership roles. The session will start by unpacking the term “authenticity” and invite participants to think through what authenticity means to them. Relying on research, we will look at what authenticity is and what it is not. We will then pivot to exploring scholarly and personal understandings of leadership and uncovering our specific values as leaders. The final component of the workshop will be consideration of the overlap of these topics, with attention to how to bring authenticity into your efforts as a leader, and how to facilitate a sense of belonging for those we serve so that they, too, can be their most authentic selves.
