How many students attend Brewster?

Brewster Academy enrolls about 350 students each year, creating a close-knit, student-centered community where everyone can find their place — whether within the larger school or in smaller, relationship-driven groups like Academic Teams, advisories, and residence halls. Our size supports small classes, personalized learning, and the collaborative Brewster Model®.

Where do the students come from?

Our students represent 29 U.S. states and 23 countries, forming a global community with a rich mix of cultural perspectives and lived experiences. This international student body strengthens classroom discussion, enhances campus life, and prepares students to think as global citizens.

Do you offer both boarding and day school options?

Yes. Brewster offers both boarding and day programs, with intentional programming designed to support each student and family based on their needs. Residential life, campus engagement, and New England boarding school traditions blend with a robust day student experience that fosters belonging, connection, and balance.

What is your Postgraduate (PG) program?

Our PG program is a one-year academic experience for students who have completed high school but want to more intentionally prepare for college. They may be looking to strengthen their academic skills, take advantage of athletic opportunities, or simply develop their independence and self-reliance in a safe, supportive environment.

Do you have a College List?

Yes, we do! Brewster graduates are accepted at a wide range of colleges and universities around the world, including highly selective institutions. Our three college counselors work individually with students and families to find the best fit for each student based on their interests and strengths. A sample list of recent matriculations is available through our College Counseling Office.

How do I apply?

You can start your application on our website through the Admissions portal, and we also accept the SAO (Standard Application Online). Our admissions team is available and excited to guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have. Learn about the steps to apply here.

Why should I consider applying to a boarding school?

Boarding school offers a unique 24/7 learning environment where students build independence, leadership, and resilience while forming lifelong friendships. At Brewster, students develop academic confidence, explore opportunities across athletics, arts, and student leadership, and benefit from personalized programs designed to help them thrive — preparing them not only for college, but for life.

What are the benefits of attending a boarding school in New Hampshire?

Our lakeside campus in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire — the Oldest Summer Resort in America — offers a safe, scenic New England setting surrounded by mountains, water, and four-season outdoor adventure. Students have the opportunity to take the short walk to town to visit shops and restaurants, helping them develop their independence while also fostering community connections. Our New Hampshire location also offers year-round opportunities for exploring the outdoors, from sailing and kayaking to skiing and hiking.
