We believe that a diverse, inclusive community strengthens learning, fosters empathy, and empowers individuals to thrive as their authentic selves. Through intentional practices, programs, and partnerships, we are committed to cultivating an environment where every student feels seen, supported, and valued.
Affinity Groups
Students connect with peers who share aspects of their identity, fostering a strong sense of belonging and opening opportunities for culture-sharing initiatives.
Inclusive Programming
From All-School speakers to advisory activities to dorm meeting agendas, Brewster’s Student Life team thoughtfully creates programming that promotes empathy, inclusion, and community building. In the classroom, course curriculums reflect and respect a range of identities, experiences, and learning perspectives.
Immersive Experiences
Whether it’s a trip during Interim Studies, a study abroad experience, or a class or weekend excursion, students have countless opportunities to write their stories as they also develop valuable perspective-taking skills.
Equity Events
Every year, students can participate in events like Equity Week and Connect 2 Change, where they learn from each other and engage in valuable discussions around important social issues.
Student Voices
At Brewster, students are empowered to use their voices, share their unique cultures, and engage in healthy and respectful discourse as they develop their sense of self and consider their impact on the broader community.
“I believe we all have a role to play in ensuring we hold true to our values. Everyone at this school has the capacity to help foster and affect lasting positive change, and everyone has the ability to transform a community for the better.”
