Dance offers the fundamentals of (dance) movement, which includes Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary styles. The students learn skills such as balance, stamina (muscular), muscle memory, grace in movement, connecting steps, stretching, jumping, turning, and choreography. They also learn to associate these skills with everyday use, such as developing their muscles to do what they need them to do. Athletes also can heighten their skills by taking these classes to learn how to target/isolate specific muscles to benefit their abilities and work their muscles in a way that they have never tried before.
