Steps to Apply
It’s easy to get started on your Brewster application. Just follow the four steps below—we look forward to working with you in the year ahead. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Admissions Office at any time. We’re here to help!
1. Inquire
Fill out our online Inquiry form so we can learn a little about you and your interests. Once we receive it, we’ll send you materials by mail (or by email for international students). We encourage you to schedule your campus visit and interview as early as possible.
2. Create Portal
IT'S EASY TO MANAGE YOUR APPLICATION THROUGH THE BREWSTER ADMISSIONS PORTAL.
- How to set up your Brewster Admissions Portal to track your application status.
- Once we receive your Inquiry form, you will receive an email with information to access the Admissions Portal.
- Log on to your Brewster Admissions Portal to track your application status. You will be able to see what items have been completed and what might still be missing.
- Create an SSAT account to submit your application materials.
Brewster requires applicants to use the Standard Application Online (SAO), which is administered by ssat.org. (See Step Four below)
Please note your usernames and passwords, and bookmark these links for easier access in the future.
If you would like to request a portal account for a family member, or if you need help accessing your portal account, please contact Marsha Brooks.
3. Visit / Interview
Get to know our community firsthand by scheduling a campus visit. You’ll tour campus with a student guide and meet Brewster faculty, staff, and students. If visiting in person isn’t possible, we invite you to schedule a Zoom conversation and interview with an Admissions Counselor. Deadlines
Early Action
Applications (including financial aid applications) should be completed by December 19 to be considered for early action decisions.
Regular Decision
Applications (including financial aid applications) should be completed by February 1 to be considered for regular decision. After February 1, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Decision Notification
Admission decisions and financial aid awards will be available through your Brewster Admissions Portal on:
- February 1 for early action decisions
- March 10 for regular decisions
Admitted students are required to return the contract and deposit by April 10 or the date specified on the contract.
What is the difference between early action and regular decisions?
Early action is an opt-in opportunity that allows you to receive your admission decision six weeks earlier than the regular decision process. It is non-binding, meaning you're not required to enroll if admitted. Early action gives you extra time to consider your options—you can wait for decisions from other schools (typically released around March 10) before making your final decision by April 10.
