Brewster Soccer Shines on the Boston Globe’s Fall All-Scholastics List
Suzanne Morrissey

Each season, the Boston Globe sports editors salute the region’s best high school athletes and coaches in their All-Scholastics list. It is a high honor to be selected, and for the Fall season, four of our own Bobcat soccer stars have made the list! Congratulations to (from left) Abby Jarvi ’23, Zoe Tamborello ’23, Tyler Rizzitano ’23, and Kieron Kankam ’23.

Abby Jarvi ’23, the NEPSAC Class C Player of the Year led the Bobcats (18-1) to the Class C championship. One of Brewster’s Curvey Scholars who also excels in Lacrosse, Abby was a three-time Lakes Region All-Star and a four-year starter for the Girls’ soccer team. She tallied 51 goals and 34 assists in 59 career games. This year, while serving as captain, Abby scored 22 goals and 14 assists in 19 games. Abby was a two-time NEPSAC all-star and earned Brewster Soccer's Career Achievement Award this year. The senior from nearby Gilford, N.H., will play at Colby College.

Zoe Tamborello ’23 of Fairfield, Connecticut, who also hustles on the Girls’ Varsity Ice Hockey and Lacrosse teams, was honored on the list for her status as a NEPSAC All-Star. A four-year member, three-year starting goalkeeper, and senior captain for the Girls’ soccer team, Zoe posted 26 career shutouts and 11 shutouts in her 2022 season. She is committed to Trinity College, where she will continue to play soccer.

Tyler Rizzitano ’23 of Gilford N.H., who also hustles on Brewster’s Baseball team in the spring, was recognized by the Globe for leading the Brewster Boys’ Varsity Soccer team as a four-year starter with 27 goals and 63 assists in 53 games. This year, while serving as captain, Tyler was awarded NEPSAC 1st Team All-Star. Like fellow Bobcat Abby Jarvi, Tyler is one of Brewster’s Curvey Scholars, who are Lakes Region students selected on the basis of academic, athletic, co-curricular accomplishments, and personal qualities of integrity, work ethic, and good character.

Kieron Kankam ’23 of Ghana, a three-year member of the Varsity program and two-year starter,  was noted as a NEPSAC 1st Team All-Star for soccer. This year while serving as captain, he led the Brewster Boys’ Varsity Soccer team, registering 3 goals and 5 assists as center-back. Kieron also plays for Brewster’s Boys’ Varsity Basketball and Lacrosse teams.
