Congratulations to this week’s Art Award winner! This student has worked diligently on her capstone project, using each week to draw out her concept, fully understanding the scope and sequence of each step. Innovative and thoughtful, this student has shown immense creativity, dedication, and vision in her concept and is a true joy to work with. We can’t wait to see her culminating capstone display at the end of the month. This week's ArtCat winner is Katherine Twombly ‘26!

This week's ArtCat goes to a Ceramics student who consistently works hard and quietly leads by example. She is creative, patient, and kind, and she shows up each day ready to give her very best. Her projects are thoughtful and intentional, and she brings a strong, independent vision to her designs and concepts. Her teacher has especially appreciated her focus, dedication, and the genuine compassion she has shown throughout the year. Congratulations to this week's ArtCat Award winner! This student is a powerhouse in the arts. A gifted guitarist with a singing voice that stops people in their tracks, her dedication is unmatched — whether she's stealing the show at coffee houses or diving deep into audio production and guitar technique. This year, she takes center stage as the lead in The Wedding Singer. We can't wait to see her shine! Congratulations, Rose Sheerin '26!

This week's ArtCat goes to a student who excels in design. He is a thoughtful critic of fashion with fantastic personal style. This winter he has taken upcycling to a new level, creating imaginative and — most importantly — wearable clothing. He is a fast learner, his sewing is meticulous, and he is always ready to take on a new challenge. Congratulations, CJ Choi '28!

An ArtCat honor is awarded this week to Liam Lazare ’27 of Bristol, Vermont, a ceramics student who demonstrates a remarkable natural connection with clay and the creative process. His wheel work is consistently strong, and he possesses an intuitive understanding of three-dimensional form. Flexible and adaptable, Liam meets challenges with creativity and persistence. Thoughtful, kind, and quietly confident, he leads by example, working diligently on each assignment with little need for reminders or guidance. We’re excited to see how his artistry continues to develop throughout the year and hopeful he’ll continue with Ceramics next year. Paws up for ArtCat Liam Lazare ’27!

This week’s ArtCat is a dedicated and creative junior who has consistently created exemplary work and demonstrates a deep understanding of the creative process. Adiya Nassyrova ’27 of Shymkent, Kazakhstan, quietly leads by example, is always prepared and consistently hardworking, and is committed to giving her best in everything she does. Technically skilled across a wide range of media, she brings both sophistication and curiosity to her work. Her scratchboard drawing was among the strongest Ms. Fedorowitz has seen in her teaching career, reflecting not only mastery of the material but also a profound grasp of the assignment’s intent. We’re excited to watch Adiya’s art continue to grow and evolve throughout the year and beyond. Congrats to talented ArtCat Adiya Nassyrova ’27!

This week’s ArtCat is a dedicated ninth grader who brings passion, focus, and leadership to Brewster’s afternoon band. As the bassist for The Airballers, Anika Webster ’29 of Delray Beach, Florida, consistently leads by example—showing up prepared, working hard, and inspiring her bandmates with her positive attitude and musical commitment. Her steady groove and teamwork have been key to the group’s success. Congratulations to Anika Webster ’29…we look forward to seeing you and The Airballers perform at upcoming Coffee Houses!

This fall in 3D modeling, Meghan Reilly ’28 has shown an excitement to learn the craft of modeling in 3D and the skills needed to think in three dimensions when creating her designs. She has quickly adapted to learning new software for this challenging medium and excels at her model designs. Meghan demonstrates excellent out-of-the-box thinking in problem solving to create the complex designs she imagines, and strives to challenge herself with each new model she creates. For her hard work in 3D modeling, this week’s ArtCat goes to Wolfeboro’s own Meghan Reilly ’28!

This week’s Art Cat goes to a senior in Drawing & Painting and Afternoon Studio Art for her ability to work with a variety of materials, strong technical skills, and creativity. Independent and hard working, Lilly Felch-Lindvall ‘26 consistently grasps the art concepts at hand and finds unique and thoughtful ways to create her work. The small watercolor studies she paints for friends and family are quite stunning—showcasing her natural skill with color and light. Lilly has developed her own style and approaches in her work, and is being highlighted with this award not only for her artwork, but also for her kind, thoughtful, and compassionate demeanor. Congrats to the latest Art Cat, Lilly Felch-Lindvall ’26 from Nantucket, Massachusetts!

This week’s Art Cat goes to Natalie Kibler ’29, a Fundamentals of Theater student who has distinguished herself as a stand-out presenter and performer. Her two-minute presentation on how to pass a pencil from her left to her right hand was creative and very funny. When asked to present for five minutes on the sport of her choosing, Natalie struggled to decide between Hobby Horsing and Extreme Ironing. She is always one of the first to volunteer and has a natural talent for theater and improvisation. Paws up for Art Cat Natalie Kibler ’29 from Las Vegas, Nevada!

Autumn Taylor ’28 of nearby Mirror Lake, New Hampshire has been named one of the first two ArtCats of the 2025-26 school year! Autumn is a ceramics student who comes to class each day ready and eager to work hard and do her best. Her teachers say she is a kind, thoughtful, creative, and independent student. Her work showcases her natural ability to work with clay and the artistic process. A new student to Brewster, Autumn already exudes our Community Core Values. She impresses with her ability to work through challenges and find unique and innovative ways to create her work. She is meticulous and puts great craft and care into what she does. We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes this year both in the art classroom and beyond! Congrats to talented ArtCat Autumn Taylor ‘28.

Mauricio Dayan ’27 came to photography this year eager to take photos and express himself through images. As the class were just learning camera settings and techniques, Mauricio was already going above and beyond with his composition and attention to form in his photos, and editing his shots after importing to further enhance his final pieces. For his engagement and creative concept thinking, Mauricio Dayan ’27 of Huixquilucan, Mexico has been named one of this year’s first ArtCats!
